English Paper Piecing: Inner City Quilt with Judy Doenias

Make a start toward making a stunning, dimensional looking quilt using the time honored 
English hand piecing method. Give your machine a rest and learn this great carry-around 
project for plane trips, subway rides, etc, or just a simple relaxing time at home. 

Materials you will need:

• A pack of Paper piecing half-hexagon shapes. Included with your enrollment.
• Fabric: To create the dimensional look you need three fabrics for each Y shaped image; one dark, one medium and one light of the same color. You don”t have to use solids. We will not have much time to make more than a few, so pick some and bring small pieces of each ~ about 5” square.
• Cotton thread should match the colors.
• Size nine or ten appliqué needles work the best, but you should use one that will be easy to thread and has a sharp point.
• Paper piecing glue pen and refills.  
• Thimble, if you like to use one.
