Intro to Sewing With Catherine Petrosino
Are you ready to learn the basics of how to operate a sewing machine?
You will learn the correct way to wind a bobbin, how to thread your machine and the proper way to operate the machine to keep from losing your thread. Once your machine is threaded, you will learn basic sewing techniques such as stitching a proper seam, pivoting and sewing curved edges. We will also discuss the basics of needles, thread and bobbins to set your sewing up for success.
We will provide our classroom machines* and the supplies needed to practice your sewing skills.
*We are only teaching this class on our classroom machines. If you own a machine, we recommend that you set up a private lesson with one of our staff members at Sew Right to properly use your machine.
