Beginner Basics Horizontal Lines Quilt with Laurie Liang





This contemporary quilt is a great beginner project that will showcase a beautiful collection of fabric. The technique involved in this skill building class is learning how to use your rotary cutter and ruler and machine piecing the units to create quilt blocks.  We will create a quilt top, learn pin basting, and DISCUSS basic machine quilting. This is a great class for any quilting skill level.  No prerequisites are required! Fabric Requirements
 -7 Different Fabrics- 1/4 yard of each or 7 Fat Quarters
- Sashing ( The Black Lines) 1 yard
-Binding- 1/2 yard
-Backing- 3 Yards
-Crib size quilt batting

-Sewing Machine in good working order
-Rotary Cutter
-Self healing mat
-6" x 24" Acrylic Ruler
-50 weight machine sewing thread
-Size 80 Universal, Microtex, or Quilting sewing machine needle
-Glass head pins
-Sewing snips
-Basting safety pins
