You've taken our Quick Start Machine Sewing class and are ready to dive into learning the basics of cutting and sewing a project. In this class, you will learn how to sew an exposed zipper using the zipper foot on your machine as well as how to overcast your edges, while you make an easy zippered pouch. Supplies needed for class:

sewing machine in good working order / machine accessories / foot pedal & power cord

zipper foot for your machine
basic sewing tools - scissors, seam zipper, pins, etc.

spool of all purpose thread

1/2 yard of cotton canvas or denim fabric 

16” regular nylon coil zipper
