Take It In: Shirts and Tops with Catherine Petrosino
In this class you will learn how to alter a knit or woven top or a button down shirt that needs to be taken in. We will review how to navigate around a flat felled seam on men’s shirts, take in a knit top and how to add a dart. Bring in one shirt or top to alter in class.
Materials needed:
sewing machine in good working order & machine accessories
thread to match your garment
Ruler, tailor's chalk
basic sewing notions like scissors, seam ripper, pins, etc
