“MAGNOLIA” Drawstring Bucket Bag

This beautiful bag is surprisingly easy to make for the intermediate level sewer. It features a drawstring through grommets with tassel ends, a zippered interior pocket, a magnetic snap closure, full lining, and an adjustable shoulder strap.

Main Fabric 25” x 27” wide

Top, bottom, base, adjustable strap, drawstring, tassels

Contrast Fabric 10” x27” wide
center panel, side strap connectors, strap accent, tassel tabs

Lining ( cotton) 1/2 yard x 42” wide
Fusible woven interfacing 1/4 yard(20” wide)
Fusible fleece 1/3 yd (44” wide)
Heavy Stabilizer (Peltex) 1/4yard x 20” wide
9” Single Slide Zipper ( or faux metal zippers by the yard)

Double sided sticky basting tape
Fabric Glue (i.e Fabri-Tac)
polyester sewing thread - (metler)
# 14 or 16 Denim needle for the sewing machine
sewing machine with 1/4” foot, zipper foot, standard sewing foot, bobbins seam ripper, scissors, rotary cutter and ruler, fabric marking pen (Frixion)
