Quilt As You Go Seasonal Table Runner
This is the perfect quilt project for a beginner or advanced beginner sewist. Quilt as you go, means exactly that - you are making the quilt top while layering the batting and backing fabrics all in one.
The size of the runner is 62” long x 17” wide for a long dining table, but it can be made smaller if needed. If you would like to change the size of the runner, please email me before the first class so that I can rework the sizing for you. Catherine@sewright.com
You can purchase the supplies you need at Sew Right - we have everything!
Materials Needed:
-jelly roll strips -16 pcs of 2 1/2” wide x 44” length in 4 - 8 patterns
-1 1/2 yard of 45” wide cotton fabric for the backing
-1/3 yd of cotton fabric for the binding
-66” long x 22” wide lightweight cotton batting
-basic sewing supplies: scissors, pins, seam ripper, wonder clips
-cutting mat and rotary cutter
-ruler -6" x24"
-sewing machine in good working order
-50 weight cotton thread to match your backing fabric
-walking foot for your machine
-12/80 needle for your sewing machine- it can be a universal or quilting.
-fabric marking pen
