The jelly roll rug was trending a couple of years ago and if you enjoyed making that, you’ll love learning how to create this decorative planter! Laurie will take you through the process of making a coiled and slab basket with fabric. Grab a nice drink and relaxing music because you’re going to need it!  There is homework between classes.

 Supply List:

-Measure the diameter of the pot you have your plant set in.

-One roll of Bosal Katahdin On-A-Roll- 

-1 2 ½” Jelly Roll or at least 35-40 2 ½” x 44” fabric strips

-Wonder Clips

-Decorative 50 Weight Cotton thread 50 for construction

-Jeans Needle Size 100

-Sewing machine in good working order

-Best Press Spray Starch

HOMEWORK- 

Sew the fabric strips end-to-end in a pleasing manner. Join with a 45 degree angle (mitered). Keep your work organized on a piece of cardboard.
