Learn the foundations of sewing in our Beginner Sewing Class by making a reversible tote bag. The class will begin with learning how to operate your sewing machine through the proper threading techniques and then learning how to sew straight seams. From there, we will instruct you on how to lay out your pattern pieces on the fabric, cutting them out and then pinning the pieces together before sewing your tote bag. 

Class size is limited to 6 students.  It is one 6 hour long class with a 1/2 hour break at the mid point .

Materials needed to make the tote bag:

1 yard of cotton canvas or medium weight denim that's 60" wide

1 yard of cotton fabric that's 45" wide

1 spool of all purpose thread

pins and pin cushion

fabric scissors

small thread scissors

seam ripper

loop turner

tape measure

Machines are available for use during class or you can bring your own.
