You are invited for a fun and rewarding day of sewing charity pillowcases to be donated to Ryan’s Case for Smiles. The completed pillowcases will be distributed to children and teenagers bravely fighting cancer in our local hospitals.
Caroline De Benedittis and Agnes Kirschner, Co-coordinators of the Ryan’s Case for Smiles Long Island/Manhattan Chapter, will lead the event. You will sew pillowcases out of bright and cheery 100% cotton quilting fabrics that will appeal to children and teenagers ages 2-17.

Please bring your machine threaded with a neutral-colored 100% cotton thread and basic sewing tools. Some of Sew Right’s classroom machines will be available. There also will be other tasks to do, including cutting and pressing. If you’d like to cut fabric, please bring a rotary cutter with a sharp blade and a 24-inch quilting ruler. Some fabric will be on hand, but donations of 100% cotton quilting fabric as described above will be appreciated.
