In this class you will work with a very simple pattern. Learn how to select your appropriate size, lay out the pattern on fabric, and sew up a skirt and simple top. Learn basic sewing techniques, under stitching, overcasting seam edges, double folded hems and topstitching. Learn to understand printed directions on commercial patterns. At the first class you will be measured and asked to purchase your fabric in the store.

Pattern as supplied by instructor,
straight pins,
fabric scissors
paper scissors
fabric suitable for the pattern and amount as determined by pattern instructions
thread to match fabric selected
3/4” wide elastic -1-2 yds
sewing machine in good working order (classroom machines available for use)
