Here is an opportunity to get started in the realm of ruler work by making a simple yet complex -looking star pattern. The Quilted Star block design was created by Leonie West herself and is a perfect introduction to the world of ruler work with Westalee Design templates. In this project we will be learning to work with two basic but versatile templates as well as a few very important other tools. By the end of the project you should feel familiar with using the Spacing Gauge, Crosshair Square and getting a little creative with how you place and stitch around your templates.

Are you interested in learning how to make an easy project in just an afternoon? These decorative Modern Fabric Art Bowls by Kristen Fisher make great gifts and can be made in various sizes. You will learn how to make these bowls using different techniques such as a 9-patch quilt block or 4 triangles. They can also be made by using up leftover quilt blocks or scraps. Quilting skills are not required to take this class. In this class we will make fabric bowls using the technic in Modern Fabric Art Bowls. These bowls are primarily for decoration and because they can be made in an afternoon they make great presents. They are also great for using up scraps. You will have a choice of an inside design based on either 4 triangles or on a 9-patch quilt block and of making the bowl in one of several sizes. The pattern of the bowl is based on a 9-patch quilting block. We will be using a rotary cuter and quilter's ruler. No other quilting skills are required.
