104: NEW DATES!! Sewing Boot Camp Level 2: Classic Tunic Shirt with Ruth Cabble

You’ve successfully completed a beginning project and are ready to move on. A super simple pattern is the best opportunity to showcase fancier fabrics or an opportunity to get creative with embellishments like beads, lace or those decorative machine stitches! This particular pattern is a great way to express your creativity. A simple design will also give you an opportunity to try French seams, Hong Kong seam finishes or bound seams. Just think how great this tunic design could look (next time) in cotton lace or mesh fabrics when you master those nice seam finishes!

At Sew Right we’ve been teaching sewing for years and have developed the right format so that you’ll understand it and can go home and do it on your own. Ruth has been teaching people to sew for over 30 years!

Ruth will discuss the importance of spending time reading a guide sheet before any sewing takes place to plan out choice of seam finishes and opportunities to embellish.

Ruth will demonstrate how valuable “Stay Stitching” and “under stitching’”will improve the quality and appearance of your garment. Learn how to add darts for shape and fit.  Buttonholes and special tips will be demonstrated  whether your pattern has them or not!  Then tips to get the smoothest “set-in” sleeve.  And finally, how to obtain a ripple free machine hemline.
